Skrim Mother of Pearls is an earth-inspired shimmer watercolor set with 6 full pans, handmade in Germany and artist-grade — six tones that capture the magic and mystery of the earth.
Colors:
- Patina – a wonderful red-brown to blue-green changing shimmer
- Earth Gold – the most earth-toned gold with intense shimmer
- Ambercup Orange – an ambercup shimmer in a dream of orange
- Fairy – a moss green with a translucent shimmer
- Scorpion – shimmering black from the deepest parts of the earth
- Rock Silver – a grey-blue silver molded by the strength of the Atlantic
Perfect for adding depth and dimension to landscapes, botanicals and atmospheric work — with a shimmer finish that adds a touch of magic to every brushstroke.
Made for: watercolor painting and illustration, calligraphy and hand lettering, wedding invitations and envelope addressing, card making and papercraft, journal and planner spreads, mixed media, and fantasy and celestial art. Works on white, colored and black paper, on wood and stone, and over dry acrylic.

How to use
How to use
These watercolors work best when you add accents to your watercolor art,
especially when using black paper. Let the water soak in for about 5 to 10
minutes before you start painting. Watercolor paper with 300g density or above is recommended to use.

Learning how to use a new product was truly enjoyable. I am a traditional water colorist And incorporated the Skrim paints with a multimedia design. The light captures the reflection of the painted area’s beautifully. Looking forward to adding the “blue” pallet of colors to my next painting.

I only just got my order so I do not yet have a project completed. However, I made a colour chart and I am very pleased on how this set turned out.
I find it hard to photo to get the wonderful effect especially on snow scenes. I have 3 sets and am enjoying them all. Learning new ways to use them everyday.

j'adore, fluide sur le papier, les couleurs peuvent se mélanger entre elles, ce qui donne des effets intéressants, mais nous pouvons remplir les zones d'un dessin, sans que les couleurs se mélangent ( technique utilisé en aquarelle). Le résultat est fabuleux

Beautiful colors! The Mother of Pearl set is absolutely gorgeous. The paints have a rich pigment and a beautiful shine. The black patina color has a beautiful shift in color and these paints truly resemble the pearlescence shifting qualities.
