SAKURA — A Limited Edition Watercolor Set Inspired by Japanese Cherry Blossoms
Share
The Skrim SAKURA Set contains 6 handmade watercolors inspired by hanami — the Japanese tradition of cherry blossom viewing. Each color captures a different moment of spring in Japan: the first pink blooms, morning mist over petals, fresh leaves emerging, spring rain, weathered branches, and blossoms under moonlight. Strictly limited. Handmade in Germany. Spring 2026.
What Is the SAKURA Set?
The SAKURA Set is a 6-color limited edition watercolor collection inspired by Japanese cherry blossom season. Each color is named after a Japanese word connected to sakura (桜) culture.
This is not a permanent collection. The SAKURA Set will be produced in limited quantities only. Once sold out, it will not be restocked.
All 6 colors are handmade in Fellbach, Germany.
The 6 Colors
| Color | Japanese | Meaning | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| HANAMI | 花見 | "Flower viewing" | Soft pink with a silvery glow and a subtle violet warmth |
| KASUMI | 霞 | "Mist" | Silvery rosé with unexpected depth |
| WAKABA | 若葉 | "Young leaves" | Fresh spring green with a warm yellow undertone |
| AME | 雨 | "Rain" | Deep blue with a quiet metallic shimmer |
| EDABURI | 枝振り | "Branch shape" | Warm rust brown with golden highlights |
| YOZAKURA | 夜桜 | "Night cherry blossoms" | Dark violet-pink, moody and luminous |

Why These 6 Colors?
The SAKURA palette tells a complete story of cherry blossom season in Japan.
HANAMI captures the iconic moment: standing under a canopy of pink blossoms. The silvery glow mimics sunlight filtering through petals. A quiet violet warmth emerges as the color settles into the paper.
KASUMI is the morning mist that hangs over blossom-lined rivers. Silvery rosé with unexpected depth — the color seems to recede, creating atmospheric distance in your paintings.
WAKABA represents the fresh leaves that emerge alongside the last blossoms. In Japan, this transition marks the end of hanami season. Bright, alive, and unmistakably spring.
AME is spring rain. Deep blue with a quiet shimmer that pools like water on petals. In Japanese aesthetics, rain during cherry blossom season carries particular beauty — fleeting and melancholic.
EDABURI honors the gnarled branches that hold the blossoms. Warm rust brown with golden warmth reflecting aged bark in afternoon sun.
YOZAKURA — night cherry blossoms — completes the cycle. In Japan, parks illuminate sakura trees after dark for evening viewing. Dark violet-pink captures blossoms glowing under lantern light. Moody. Romantic. Unmistakable.

A Limited Edition — In Every Sense
The SAKURA Set will be produced in strictly limited quantities. When the edition sells out, it will not be restocked or reproduced.
This is not artificial scarcity. Cherry blossom season in Japan lasts only 1–2 weeks. The SAKURA Set mirrors this fleeting beauty. If you want it, you need to act — the same intention that hanami demands.
When they're gone, they're gone.
